University of Alberta observatory domes

"Thank you so much for visiting our class on Friday! The kids loved it...they thought it was pretty cool to meet a "real" Astronomer! Thanks again, Janine"

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will loan one of five telescopes to your school for a period of 3 weeks to allow you to observe the night-time sky, or to look at the Moon in the early morning at the start of the school day during certain times of the year and days of the month.

Note: These telescopes are NOT suitable for observing the Sun as blindness or other damage to eyesight could occur if the Sun is viewed directly.
